Setting off for an exciting day of sightseeing, the last thing you think about when you’re getting ready is makeup. With the majority of your photos snapped in scenic tourist locations, chances are the photo you took first thing in the morning while eating your baguette on the streets of Paris will make it all over the internet because Johnny Depp was in the background (yes, it happens)! How are you supposed to be picture ready when travel and makeup don’t mix…

Three Must Have Travel Makeup Products

Table Of Contents

It’s not easy to admit how much we rely on and love our makeup – no one wants to be the girl who has a huge cosmetic bag while trying to backpack as a ‘minimalist’.

The key to travel makeup is to keep it to a minimum and save space by using products that can be used for multiple purposes. It is important to be aware of the humidity you’ll be encountering and what products can handle the heat (and your now oily face). The products you choose to pack is a big decision as you venture into the world and encounter new climates. Find products that will help you be prepared to face the world.

These are my 3 must have travel make up products

Benefit Posietint Cosmetics

Lips and cheeks

Benefit Posietint in poppy pink is a great 2 in 1 product to use both as a lip tint and a sun-kissed blush. This smudge-proof product stays on all day so there is no need to reapply which saves you product (lasts longer) and space! I find that the light pink colour isn’t as bold as it appears in the bottle which gives you the admired natural look of rosiness. It is also offered in a red tint of you prefer a more dramatic look.

Lancome Dual Finish Matte Buff Travel Size Set

Face

Lancôme Dual Finish compact foundation powder is great for both light coverage (dry) and full coverage (wet). The packaging includes two separate sponges for application so there is no need to pack brushes. It provides incomparable long lasting matte coverage considering I tend to sweat a lot. I mainly use it dry to keep my skin breathable and use the wet sponge for blemishes and under eye coverage of those dark circles.

Make Up For Ever Aqua Waterproof Cream Eye Shadow

Eyes

Make Up For Ever Aqua Shadow has long been my go to product for a combination of long lasting liner and eye shadow. It is intensely pigmented providing a full bright color without multiple applications. Most days I just use it as a liner for a more natural look and by night I add it on as shadow for a more dramatic look. Aqua Cream is even great for hot and humid weather and doesn’t smudge or crease. Have I mentioned it is waterproof? I swear by this waterproof makeup product!

If you want to give this waterproof makeup your own test, check out MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Waterproof Cream Eye Shadow!

All three of these products will help you end the day looking exactly as you as fresh did when you first applied your travel make up in the morning and will even survive a full night of dancing with ease! Your friends will be very impressed with how fresh you look with such a small cosmetic bag. Take it from a travel fashion girl.
