I have some prep time but I’m curious about (fashionable) packing essentials for a trip to Prague, followed by a quick trip to Rome, the first week of April. Do you have any tips?

 

 

The Europe packing list suggested in the above image is perfect. Maybe have a nice top in there for sunny times, and sunglasses. I’d say a nice pair of boots.

Not walking boots, but just nice city ankle (or higher) boots, but ones that are comfortable. It might be rainy. Also a pair of ballet flats too.

Remember to always, always, always check the weather forecast for each destination on your itinerary before your trip. Once you’ve researched the weather, you can focus on creating a travel capsule wardrobe, which should easily fit in a carryon suitcase with the help of packing cubes to compress your clothing.

Multi-Country European Vacation: Spring

 

The weather will be between 13C and 18C in Rome and I’d say during the day, so a nice light jacket too, and an umbrella, although you can just get that there.

Prague will be colder but she could layer up under the jacket or short coat. Temps there maybe about 7C to 12C during the day. A scarf, definitely.

Take one that will do you during a nice day if it’s sunny, but that you can wrap round and round to keep you warm when needed.

Both can be quite fashionable cities but there are also a lot of tourists and travelers so anything goes. She won’t feel out of place in whatever she wears. Jeans, I’d say are a must. – Ashley Peacock Rogers

Remember in all the churches you’ll need to be covered. Black skinny jeans, leather jacket, and my red flats were a go-to for me. It’s going to be pretty chilly! Also, rain jacket is always a good idea. Forget heels, cobble stone is going to be your enemy! – Allison Ward

Second the ballet flats option – you’ll be doing a lot of walking in Rome, there are so many gorgeous piazzas to discover! April will be chilly in Prague but a little warmer in Rome, and the cherry blossoms will be out! Jeans and changeable tops with a dress + tights and a light spring trench will see you through! – Taking to the Open Road

A neutral shower-proof trench coat is a good bet. And I agree about heels, but ballet flats are a great option as they’re good to go from day to night. – Need Another Holiday

    Your travel advice is beyond amazing!! My husband and I will be travelling to Dublin, London, Paris, Barcelona, and Venice over the course of 15 days in a couple of weeks. I’ve been putting together a wardrobe capsule but am having some trouble given the varied climates. I’ve been told by co-workers that i have a classy chic fashion sense (my casual is dressier than most). But because I’m cold natured (due to being a native Texan) I want to ensure my capsule is versatile enough. I’ve also purchased some waterproof ankle and calf boots. Any other suggestions for clothes and shoes?

    I am taking a 35-day trip to Europe in September … I am going to London/Oxford, England; Berlin, Germany; Zurich, Switzerland; Paris, France; Barcelona/Madrid, Spain; Athens, Greece; and Venice/Rome/Florence, Italy. I need advice of what to pack. Although I am not backpacking, I would like to pack lightly. In addition, although I have lost over 100 pounds in the last year – I am still a plus-size.     Hi there! I’ve been researching about what to pack and I’m still lightly lost. I’ll be leaving late May and coming back early July – total of 35 days. I believe I will have access to do laundry at some of the hotels we’re staying at. We’ll be going to the Greek Islands, Athens, Rome, Florence, Venice, Innsbruck/Tyrol Region, Munich, Prague, Berlin, Amsterdam, Bruges, Paris, Montpelier, and Barcelona.     Hey Alex!

    I am studying abroad in Italy from the end of May until about mid June, then I am going to go to Germany, Prague, Amsterdam, Spain and possibly London.

    Any tips in regards to packing as I know it could be hot, but how hot will it actually be? Also I know that the different countries will quite possibly all have different weather, right? Bringing a rolling luggage as I will be gone for about a month and 3 weeks.

    Hello, I’m packing for a 2-3 month trip to Europe next summer and am looking for comfortable hiking shoes for mountain hiking. I am also wondering whether or not I should bring a foldable bicycle on the trip.

    Hi!

    Is there a multi-country packing list for summer in europe? I’m going to Amsterdam, Norway(hiking one day, Italy(Venice,Riccione(bike tour 1 week), Florence, Rome) then last Paris. This will be a 3 week trip in Sept 2016. So the first week of the tour would require some jacket/windbreaker in Norway but the rest of the other countries will be fairly hot.

    I am taking a 22 day tour of Iceland, Finland and Norway in August of 2017 … I have been researching the cities and specific places I will be visiting. I notice that the weather varies from high 30’s to mid 70’s with some rain here and there … I am from New York and I am figuring I can get away with normal clothing I’d wear on mid to bad fall days … PLEASE correct me if I am wrong!

    Dear travel girl. Leaving for a month trip to northern England mid-sept to mid-October with a 10 day trip to Tore d pescare sept 26 – oct 6th in between. Even though I have travelled a bit I a have a terrible reputation for overpacking… I do have some e-bags but Would love a more concrete simple list. I do like choices I’m in my mid- 60’s -fashion conscious -5 foot 2 slim but not into long dresses. Thank you Trish

    Ps I am also leaving for Seattle Washington for 2 weeks end of August to first week of sept. I may be doing some hiking in the cascades with my son and daughter in law so will need help there too.
