Summer is a wonderful time to book a vacation that involves sand, sun, and good times with family and friends; however, if the thought of buying a bathing suit is causing a little anxiety, you’re probably not the only one! Every woman is gifted with a wonderful figure, it’s just a matter of knowing what will flatter your shape the most.
So what are the best swimsuits for body types? If you want a quick glance at the swimsuits that could work for you, check them out here:

- Swimsuits for a Long Torso
Let’s get into the full list of highly popular choices that will have you walking out of your hotel rocking confidence and make heads turn while you still feel comfortable at the same time!
Best Swimsuits for Large Busts
For a large bust, it’s about having proper support and coverage. One suit that works is a straight across cut at the top of your swimsuit with wide set straps. Try a bikini top with an underwire and a thick chest band for extra support.
Shop: Charlie Textured Bralette Bikini Top | Dylan Textured Hipster Bottom
Editor’s Pick: MaxSwim by Everything But Water Bikinis
As someone with a naturally large bust, it’s very frustrating to go bathing suit shopping because swimwear rarely offers coverage and never has enough support. While I’ve found cute wired swimwear brands that specialize in DD+ cup sizing, it’s challenging to find stylish options that look less like a bra and more like a regular bikini top.
Enter Maxswim by Everything but Water. They have the best non-wired full coverage bikinis I’ve ever found! Plus, they’re actually cute and sexy, too!
Enjoying the beach in Charlie Bikini Top, Dylan Hipster Bottom, and Wallaroo Hat
It’s a new collection so they don’t have many options but it’s worth every bit of the (expensive) price for me to find a bikini that makes me feel good instead of feeling embarrassed and self-conscious on the beach. I bought two colors in each of the two sets and these are now my go-to bathing suit brand of choice!
The coral pick I’m wearing here has red tones, and red is slimming and appears to be smaller, helpful if you want to deemphasize a larger bust.
Shop Sizes 8-18: Miraclesuit Crossover One Piece Swimsuit | Also: 16-24 Plus Size
Second Editor’s Pick: Miraclesuit Oceanus One-Piece Swimsuit
Miraclesuit is my fave brand and is also touted by many TFG readers as excellent! This wrap one piece swimsuit will make you “look 10 lbs lighter”, according to the company.
The bust area measures across the full area so it feels supportive and the cups are soft. The super-stylish V-neck and mesh inset panels help provide breathability, plus offer a fashion-forward twist. It’s available in sizes 8-18 and in plus sizes, 16-24.
Another tip: multiple straps on a swimsuit top add twice the support as well, so check out a Miraclesuit option here!
Shop: CUPSHE Women Swimsuit Plus Size Bikini Set | In Sizes M-4XL
Cupshe Plus Size High Waisted Bikini Set
This adorable Cupshe bikini set has a supportive ruffled bikini top with adjustable straps and a ruched high waist bottom.
Many wearers of this suit stress that the underwire in the top for extra support is terrific, making these some of the best swimsuits for big busts. Not only is it the support, but users also tout the coverage, and of course, the elegant sexy look! Available in sizes M-4XL.
Best Swimsuits for Small Bust
For a smaller bust, halter tops can help accentuate the bust, as do triangle tops, but also details like ruffles and a wrap style look fab. A lightly padded bra suit and underwire suit tops gives you believable cleavage and enhances what you have as well. Final tip: avoid a pancake bandeau top with hardware in the front or a twist tie front.
