I have never been a dress wearer at home much less on vacation. I think I thought dresses were for church, funerals and fancy occasions 😃. But thanks to your blog and Facebook page, I have come to love wearing casual dresses! I feel so feminine and they keep me much cooler than pants or shorts. My Italy wardrobe was more than half dresses and it worked out perfectly.
Thanks for all the good ideas. Dresses make hot weather packing so much easier. And there are so many good options now!
I’d love more natural fiber (linen/linen blends, cotton/cotton blends) s/s midi dresses for European cities.

I LOVE the Columbia Freezer dresses! They have a maxi dress option too! I have one in each length and I typically alternate between them when we travel to warm destinations. The fabric packs small, is light and comfortable, and dries quickly (great for washing or getting splashed at the beach). They worked perfectly for me a beach / hiking vacation in Fiji and our recent Europe trip to cities in Spain and Portugal!
