Need to upgrade your in flight beauty routine? We’ve rounded up our top five airplane skin care essentials to keep your skin moisturized throughout a long haul flight. Find out what they are!
Airplane Skin Care
It’s time to redeem your frequent flyer miles and jet set across the country! Plan your trips to all those vacation hot spots, but keep in mind that a long-haul flight can wreak havoc on your skin. The dry air can dehydrate skin to produce more oil, leading to breakouts and dry patches.
While you can take a nap or watch a movie to kill some time on your flight, a mini spa-treatment will refresh and relax your skin before reaching your destination.
Suffer from acne? This is how to avoid break outs while traveling!
We’ve picked our favorite on-the-go airplane skin care essentials to add to your in flight beauty routine:
Swipe Away Makeup and Oil
If you’re not near a sink and need to perk up your skin in an instant, cleansing wipes can easily remove all traces of makeup, dirt, oil, and sweat without any water. Pre-moistened cloths easily hydrate the skin and gently clean off residue without leaving the skin feeling tacky.
Ole Henriksen’s Cleansing Cloths are infused with multi-vitamins to help comfort and soothe the skin. The satiny wipes reduce visible redness if your skin feels irritated during your flight.
Cleansing cloths aren’t the only kind of handy wipes for travel! Find out about other great travel wipes here!
Spritz Away Jet Lag
After you’ve wiped your skin free of dirt and makeup, spritz a hydrating spray to instantly boost your skin and replenish any dryness.
Within a few hours of your flight – a nap and a movie later – your skin will lose quite a bit of elasticity. Caudalie Grape Water is the perfect perk-up your skin will love.
Grape water can improve irritated skin by helping your skin retain water. The spray can be used as a toner post-cleanse or used throughout your flight to refresh your skin.
Female travelers also swear by Evian facial spray as part of their in flight beauty routine!
The 10-Minute Sheet Mask Facial
If your skin is screaming for a boost, a sheet mask instantly gives you a spa-like effect during your flight. While applying a sheet mask may garner some awkward stares, your skin will be more than grateful for the cool and nourishing sensation.
Give your skin a plumped effect with the Erborian Bamboo Shot Mask to immediately moisturize and soothe discomfort. The refreshing serum-infused mask in the stuffy, recycled air balances your skin for a nourishing glow.

Hydration to the Rescue
Parched skin can easily add 5 years to your appearance. You’d be surprised how effective a nourishing cream can aid in reviving a youthful glow. The dry in-flight air can tighten the skin, making it prone to flakes and premature wrinkles.
Replenish your face with the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration without leaving behind a greasy residue. Ideal for all skin types, it’s gentle enough to be used on kids and babies.

Pucker Up Softer Lips
The thinnest layer of skin on our face is on our lips. It’s no wonder they’re prone to dead flaky skin and chapping.
To get supple, plump lips, try the soothing thick formula of Smith’s Rosebud Salve. It’s perfect to carry in-flight. The multipurpose salve can be used on your lips, nails, and skin to heal minor irritation and cracked skin.
These are our favorite natural beauty products to take on your next adventure!
If you’re not about that jet lag life, a quick skincare routine during a 10+ hour flight can keep your skin glowing once you arrive to your destination!

I love how easy makeup wipes are, but I find that they don’t remove my makeup fully. So, I always depot a balm cleanser, like Albolene, into a smaller container for the flight and use both to help remove all of my makeup!
Hi Amy, great idea! Thank you for sharing your toiletry travel hack with us! ?
The facial spray is too many ounces to be carried on a plane. Ideas for smaller?
I also like the idea of solid toiletries.
Hi Shannon, have a look at this post for some suggestions for containers to put your toiletries in: https://www.travelfashiongirl.com/best-travel-containers/ Hope you find what you are looking for! 🙂
I like the idea of solid toiletries to take on a flight. Never even gave it a thought until I started following this site. Thank you!
