Top Womens Rain Boots
Table Of Contents
When visiting a wet destination, donning heavy rubber rain boots seems logical but those types of boots aren’t actually your best choice when traveling abroad.
Any rainboots women would wear should only be considered when spending extensive time outdoors and if the weather forecast shows heavy downpours. Otherwise, choose regular boots for everything else.
Waterproof leather boots are best as they’re water-resistant and tend to keep your feet warm and dry, which are essential features when you’re in a cold climate. However, it all depends how much time you’ll actually be spending walking outside in the rain.
For extremely wet trips, taking a pair of versatile shorter booties offers more choice in outfits. In addition, take a nicer pair of leather (or faux leather) mid-calf to knee-high boots. This way you’re not dragging around large rubber boots you may never wear.
You can easily pack smaller boots away and bring them out as and when needed. However, they look so good that you can even get away with wearing them on dry days, too!

Are there any recommended rain/water resistant boots that zip? I have a high arch and pulling on boots (even ankle-height ones) is not easy. Something I could sort of step into (if that makes sense) would work best.
I know the zipper will impact the waterproofing, but am hoping for something that will keep my feet relatively dry. I’m not looking to jump puddles or wade streams – just walk around wet/snowy towns.
