Tons of TFG readers have shared stories of lost luggage and their trusty trackers saving the day. One says they “prevented me from losing over $600 in belongings!”
They’ll also come in handy when you get to your destination — you can keep an eye on your luggage when you leave it at your accommodation or store it in your purse in case it gets lost or stolen. BAGSMART Toiletries Travel Bag
Toiletry Organizer Bag to Downsize Toiletries
While there’s nothing wrong with using multiple pouches or ziplock bags, a toiletry organizer bag will be a serious game-changer for keeping your toiletries and cosmetics neat and organized.
Must haves for international travel, toiletry bags will give you a designated place for all of your things and allow you to see everything clearly, which means no more digging around for specific items!
And if you’re traveling somewhere you know will be short on countertop space like a cruise ship or a smaller hotel, a hanging toiletry bag is the perfect solution for keeping your products out of the way yet easy to access.

Tide Laundry Detergent Travel Packets
Laundry Travel Detergent for On the Go
If you’re traveling for an extended period of time, want to pack super light, or have some sporty activities planned, chances are you’ll need to do a bit of laundry. And instead of trying to find a laundromat or paying for overpriced laundry services, opt for some easy, hassle-free hand washing!
You should definitely add some travel laundry detergent to your travel packing essentials, as it’s super small, easy to pack, and makes for fresh and clean clothes while on the road. A lot of readers love detergent sheets because they’re thin and weightless yet highly effective once put into water. Other readers go for liquid detergent packets or solid soap, which are also TSA-friendly and mess-free!
Find out how to do laundry while traveling with three easy options!
Sea to Summit Travel Clothesline
Portable Clothes Line for Quick Washing
Now that washing your clothes is taken care of, you’ll need to make sure you can dry everything properly. Because most accommodations don’t offer dryers, you’ll need to find an efficient solution — and readers agree that hanging clothes over the shower or towel drying them usually doesn’t cut it.
Enter a portable clothesline! These essentials for travel are SO handy, as they’re compact and light as can be, taking up very little space in your luggage yet offering plenty of drying space when unwrapped. Look for something sturdy and easy to attach to various objects, and you’ll be able to dry everything from wet bathing suits and towels to full loads of laundry!
Refillable Water Bottle
Long-time TFG readers might remember that I drink a TON of water, so a water bottle is an absolute must on my travels. I received the Stanley IceFlow AeroLight Water Bottle as a gift, and it’s absolutely perfect! I can honestly say it’s my favorite on-the-go water bottle of all time.
It’s made of 90% recycled stainless steel and is lightweight for easy hydration. Just rotate the lid with a few simple twists and sip ice-cold water. The Cap and Carry Lid has an angled handle and features a soft-touch comfort grip, so it’s never a fuss to open it and replenish my water intake.
On my way to Los Angeles to visit the 2025 Women’s Travel Fest venue. Wearing my Athleta Jumpsuit and Golden Goose Sneakers. My luggage and travel essentials are the Target Backpack, Stanley Iceflow Water Bottle, and Monos Carryon.
This stylish yet durable water bottle is compatible with most cupholders, which is important for travelers who can encounter cup holders of varying sizes, and it slides into a water bottle sleeve easily in a personal carry-on item. It can keep water cold for up to 10 hours (even as long as 2 days), which makes this perfect for long days of traveling, sightseeing, or bringing along on road trips, camping, or hiking.
I like this brand so much, that I also got their 40oz Quencher Tumbler to use at home!
Smyrna Original Turkish Beach Towel Cotton
Travel Towel
While it’s true that hotels and many other accommodations will have towels for you, frequent travelers know how much of a difference it makes to have your own travel towel packed.
Travel towels are less bulky than traditional beach or bath towels, but they’re incredibly absorbent, quick-drying, and super cozy. Readers also like Turkish towels for the same reason. They’re some of the best luxury travel accessories: thin yet ultra-absorbent, and can even double as a throw or a picnic blanket!
One TFGer says she always brings “A thin Turkish towel that I can use as a light blanket on the plane and as a beach towel or picnic blanket at my destination.”
Europe Travel Essentials
I took the Travelon Anti-Theft Classic Messenger Bag to Italy in 2018, and it was perfect for sightseeing and felt safe and secure!
When packing for a trip to the stylish cities of Europe, it can be easy to focus solely on your capsule wardrobe. But there are definitely some other travel essentials for Europe that you should consider, including functional accessories and anti-theft items!
Worried about Pickpockets in Europe? Read These Tips and Tricks!
Neck Wallet and Money Belt to Hide ID and Cash
One of the best ways to keep your valuables safe is by wearing them as close to your body as possible, preferably underneath your clothing by way of neck wallets or money belts. Even if you’re not traveling to mega-touristy zones or places where pickpocketing is common, it’s always better to be safe than sorry when traveling.
A neck wallet is one of the best international travel accessories to give you peace of mind as you sightsee. As the name suggests, you simply wear it around your neck and underneath your clothing so that your cards, cash, and ID are out of sight and totally protected from theft.
Similarly, money belts are great overseas travel essentials to keep your money and valuables safely tucked away at your waist without creating bulk. They’re slim and comfortable to wear, yet offer the utmost security so you can confidently explore your destination!
More anti-theft options include things like bra wallets and scarves with hidden pockets. But remember, never access them in public where other people can see you — just in case.
Travelon Anti Theft Classic Messenger Bag
Anti-Theft Bag to Prevent Pickpocketing
Even if your most valuable items and money are stashed away in a money belt, an anti-theft purse is an amazing investment for your travels and is said to be one of the best Europe travel accessories you could have.
These types of purses are made with slash-proof fabric and straps and offer security features like lockable zippers, lock-down straps for securing stationary objects like a restaurant chair, and RFID protection, so it’s no wonder they’re some of the top travel accessories among TFG readers.
Readers love anti-theft purses that are simple in design and won’t call attention to themselves but are still sleek and stylish enough to look great with their travel outfits. But most importantly, the confidence and peace of mind they offer is what really makes them a travel staple!
Dagne Dover Micah Neoprene Crossbody Bag
Crossbody Bag
Crossbody bags are great travel essentials for international travel, as the design keeps them secure on your body and always in sight. They also make it easy to access your things, which is always a handy bonus.
And while anti-theft crossbodies are ideal, if you have a favorite crossbody that’s functional, cute, and feels secure, then it’s a winner!
Bandolier Emma Crossbody Phone Case and Wallet
One particular style that’s become popular with readers is a crossbody phone purse. These cute travel accessories are perfect for traveling extra light with just your phone and cards or cash. They’re also great to wear while sightseeing, so you can always have your phone ready to snap the perfect pic or take a look at your maps.
Leather travel accessories like the one shown above are always super chic, too!
Shop Bandolier Emma Crossbody Phone Case on Bandolier or Amazon.
Sling Bags and Belt Bags
Another fab way to keep your belongings secure and easy to access is with a travel-friendly sling bag or belt bag! These fun travel accessories are all the rage right now, praised for their on-trend look, ease of wear, and safety.
Similar to a crossbody, a sling bag will keep all of your belongings in sight. They’re just as handy for holding your passport and boarding pass at the airport as for stashing your Europe travel accessories on a long sightseeing day.
Shop MZ Wallace Metro Belt Bag on Nordstrom or MZ Wallace.
Readers also love fanny packs for their versatility — they can be worn comfortably on your hips for a sporty-cute look or slung over your shoulder for a laid-back vibe.
Depending on the style, these travel accessories women love can be taken anywhere from a rugged outdoor excursion to gallery-hopping to dinner and drinks!

So whether you’re looking to minimize your travel gear or don’t want to carry a purse, clothing with hidden pockets is the way to go. From jackets and pants to even dresses and scarves, there are plenty of unique options to pick from!

Zoppen Passport Wallet Cover Case
RFID Passport Holder to Keep Information Safe
International travel means you’ll need to have your passport with you at multiple points during your trip, so you’ll want a secure and protective way to transport it. TFG readers love using an RFID passport holder that’ll keep all of their personal information protected.
Aside from keeping your personal data safe, these travel bag accessories are great for keeping your passport, boarding passes, and other travel documents organized and ready. These international travel accessories are compact, secure, and easy to store; plus, if you get one in a fun color or print, you’ll be able to spot it in your bag easily.
Airplane Travel Essentials for Long Flights
A flight is the right time to use earplugs to block out noise. But my Bose Noise Canceling Headphones serve the same function, yet they were so bulky! So, I got the Bose QuietComfort 35 II Earbuds, and they’re more compact and travel-friendly!
Long-haul flights can be exhausting and uncomfortable, especially if you don’t have the right airplane travel accessories. You should always prioritize your comfort and well-being on a rigorous travel day, and these long flight travel essentials will make your journey much more comfortable and relaxing!
Sleeping Mask to Catch a Better Nap Onboard
Whether dealing with bright lights in an airplane or a drastic time zone change, you’ll need a great sleeping mask to block out your surroundings and get some much-needed rest. These comfy travel essentials for long flights will make a huge difference, especially for sensitive sleepers.
Choose a silky pair for luxurious skin nourishment or an option with contoured eyecups to block out every last bit of light!
Avoid these common mistakes while traveling!
Loop Quiet Ear Plugs for Noise Reduction
Ear Plugs to Block Out Noise
From the roaring engine to chattering passengers to crying babies, airplane travel entails a good bit of noise. An easy way to block out noise and add so much more peace and quiet to your flight is by packing a pair of earplugs.
Whether you want to enjoy a good book, get some work done, or have a snooze, earplugs will be a lifesaver on a noisy plane! These plane travel essentials will also come in handy throughout the rest of your trip, especially if you’re traveling to a noisy city, are a light sleeper, or are traveling with a snoring companion!
Compression Socks to Fight Swollen Legs
When sitting still for so many hours on a long-haul flight, it’s not uncommon for some swelling to occur. And aside from discomfort on the flight, they can potentially cause issues during your trip. That’s why compression socks are one of the best travel accessories for long flights!
Compression socks will keep your blood flowing and promote healthy circulation, reducing uncomfortable swelling. Some of the best air travel accessories, these can also help with restless legs, another common occurrence when sitting still for too long on a flight!
trtl Super Soft Travel Neck Pillow
Travel Pillow to Support Your Neck
Anyone who’s taken a nap on a plane without a good neck pillow knows the pain is real! That’s why supportive neck pillows are absolute must haves for travel if you know you’ll want to catch some Z’s on your flight. Find something that’ll work in various sleeping positions and won’t take up too much space when packed. Bonus points if it’s easy to clean!
Electronic Travel Accessories
As a content creator and entrepreneur, I have to work wherever I am. I recently bought the ARZOPA Portable Monitor to mitigate those long hours looking at a laptop screen. It’s quite compact!
Because electronics are such a huge part of our everyday life, they’re now a major part of traveling, too, and have even become some of our most useful travel accessories. That’s why it’s important to ensure your tech travel accessories are small, compact, and functional and will allow you to keep fully charged no matter where you are!
Portable Charger for Devices
When you’re getting ready to board a flight or are wandering around a foreign city, having your phone die is the last thing you want! And taking away precious sightseeing time as you sit and wait for your phone to charge isn’t fun, either.
This is why a portable charger should definitely be part of your travel bag essentials. You’ll never have to worry about draining your battery while using your phone’s maps or taking a million photos. Modern chargers are super lightweight and compact, too, so they’re easy to store in your day bag for all of your instant, on-the-go charging needs!
Bose QuietComfort 45 Wireless Headphones
Noise-Canceling Headphones or Ear Buds
While they may seem like luxury travel accessories, noise-canceling headphones offer a multitude of benefits that have made them a major staple item for so many travelers! Perfect for blocking out the sound of a plane’s engine and any noisy passengers, you’ll be able to get some peace and quiet while enjoying your favorite playlist, TV shows or simply sitting in silence.
Plus, noise-canceling styles are typically super comfy, whether over-the-ear or in-ear, so you could totally wear them for hours while on a flight.
And aside from being among the best airplane travel accessories, you’ll love having them at your destination for the same reasons! Lounge with music by the pool or work at a cafe while living the digital nomad life, and you’ll be free from distractions while getting crystal-clear audio.
Travel Adapter for International Trips
Traveling internationally with electronics means dealing with different outlets, so you’ll definitely need a travel adapter. Instead of buying separate adaptors for specific countries you’ll be visiting, you might want to keep it simple (and cost-effective) with a universal travel adaptor.
These essential travel accessories are equipped with outlets that work across multiple continents, so you can easily switch out the plugs depending on where you are in the world.
Here’s a quick guide on Travel Adaptors, Converters, and Voltage!

These packing accessories for travel have a designated spot for everything, from teeny hard drives to bulky computer chargers, all while keeping things light and compact. Nothing beats keeping your electronics ultra-organized and in great condition!
ROOTOMA International Power Strip
Power Travel Strip for Electronics
Outlets are typically sparse in hotel rooms, and using multiple outlets at an airport is often next to impossible, so charging multiple devices can be tricky. That’s where travel power strips come in!
They’re lightweight and much more compact than your typical power strip while offering multiple ports for all of your devices, making it one of the best business travel accessories. Plus, readers say they’re life-changing when traveling with a group!

Womens Travel Accessories
When I toured Europe in 2018 for 2 weeks, all my undies had to fit in my Osprey Farpoint 40 Travel Backpack (now Fairview), and they did! (Also pictured: Travelon Classic Anti-Theft Bag)
With all the focus on clothes and figuring out your different looks, items like socks, underwear, and PJs can be easy to forget! Don’t let these travel luggage accessories be overlooked! They’re vital in making sure you’re both comfy and set for your trip.
ExOfficio Women’s Give-N-Go Bikini Brief | Sizes XS-XXL
Travel Underwear
They might be obvious must have travel essentials, but make sure undies are well-equipped for your travel adventures! Your travel underwear should ideally be super comfy, breathable, moisture-wicking, easy to wash, and quick-drying. It’s a plus if they’ll work with different clothing styles, too.
And because they’ll likely be worn and washed more often than a typical pair, go for pairs that are high quality, with durable seams and fabric. And most importantly, the styles that make you feel comfortable and confident are key!
Bali Comfort Revolution Wireless Bra | Sizes S-3X
Travel Bras
In terms of bras, most readers recommend wireless bras that won’t feel too constricting for long-term wear. One reader says, “I went wireless a couple of years ago, and it’s been the greatest decision I’ve ever made.”

(They’re air travel must haves, too!) And don’t worry — these women travel essentials are still ultra-supportive, practical, and flattering!
If you want to rock an off-the-shoulder top or a strappy dress, there are tons of supportive and travel-friendly strapless bras that’ll keep you feeling secure without sacrificing comfort.
Sleepy Time Bamboo Pajamas | Sizes XS-XXL
Travel Pajamas
While they’re not exactly part of an essential capsule wardrobe, pajamas are still super important travel packing accessories! When traveling, many readers like to make sure they have some PJs that are comfy and practical yet cute and put-together, especially if they’re traveling with others or might need to step out of their room for any reason.
A great pair of travel pajamas will be cozy, of course, but also breathable, easy to pack, and either light and cooling or toasty warm, depending on the season and whether you typically run hot or cold.
Travel Socks
Another item on the list of traveling accessories that seems like a no-brainer but is often overlooked or not given enough thought is socks! If you’re traveling in warm weather and plan on wearing your fave sneakers, keep it clean and simple with a pair of no-show socks. They’ll keep your feet fresh, dry, and comfortable all day while staying completely hidden.
If you’re heading into cold weather, stock up on some warm winter socks. Readers love their merino wool socks for winter travels, as they’re warm yet aren’t bulky, plus they’re temperature regulating and moisture-wicking.

A reader shares, “It takes up some precious space in my carry-on, but I can do my hair so much faster with it. I hate wasting time getting ready when traveling, and drying my hair is a big chunk of that, so I always make room for it.”
BaBylisspro Nano Titanium Travel Hair Dryer
Dual Voltage Hair Dryer
Alternatively, travel-sized dual-voltage hair dryers are great womens travel essentials that can be used for both domestic and international travel.
If you blow dry your hair regularly, you’ll be so glad to have one packed because, as one reader notes, “I’ve yet to find a hotel one that dries as fast.” And if your room doesn’t provide one or you’re not staying in a hotel, this little tool is a definite must!
And if you want to style your hair during your travels with a flat iron or curling iron, definitely make sure these luxury travel essentials are dual voltage! A difference in outlet voltage can be super dangerous and potentially cause a fire, so be sure to keep that in mind when you pick out your hair tools.
HiBAR Shampoo and Conditioner Bar Set

Because you’ll be out and about for longer periods when you travel, choosing long-lasting makeup products is important, and this certainly applies to lipstick. They’re fun and glamorous mini travel accessories, but just be sure to pick a great, long-lasting lipstick that’ll allow you to wear it for hours on end while trying new foods and staying hydrated, all with minimal touchups!
Shop MAC Cosmetics Matte Lipstick on Nordstrom or Ulta.
Sephora Retractable Eyebrow Pencil
Eyebrow Pencil and Gel
For a lot of women, eyebrows are a key part of their makeup routine and at the top of their list of travel essentials, so finding a great, long-lasting product to bring with them on their travels is crucial. The eyebrow pencils with the strongest staying power will be waterproof, as they’ll stay put despite sweat or even a swim session! They’re especially great for hot and humid countries.
If you need to tame those brows with some brow gel, again, choose something strong that’ll hold those hairs in place all day long! Most brow gels are conveniently compact, and because they can make such a huge difference in looking put-together, they can help simplify the products you bring with you for the day, making them great packing essentials for travel.

No matter where you’re headed, staying sun-safe should be a top priority and a big part of your travel toiletries essentials. The best face sunscreen to pack is one that you’ll be happy wearing every single day, so make sure the one you pick is specifically formulated for the face, is delicate, and won’t leave a white cast.
Some readers opt for solid sunscreen sticks, which won’t count towards those TSA liquid limits, so you can bring as much as you need. Another plus is that they’re super easy to apply and reapply throughout the day without any mess!
Nivea Dry Comfort Deodorant Antiperspirant Roll-On

They’re fantastic for helping you sleep, soothing your nose and throat, and moisturizing your skin! One reader says she brings, “A small one that I can set up on the nightstand. These cute travel essentials are teeny and easy to stick into the pocket of your purse, and they’ll make all the difference when strolling around on a muggy day or sitting in a hot airplane before takeoff.

Wrinkle Release Spray to Smooth Out Clothing
A smaller alternative to a travel steamer is a handy little bottle of wrinkle release spray. Perfect for getting light creases and wrinkles out of your everyday clothes, they’re also great plane travel accessories that’ll have you looking polished right after you land. They take up just a teeny bit of space and can even be carried with you when you’re out and about.
All it takes is a few sprays, and your wrinkly clothes will look good as new. And some options will even freshen up your clothes with some subtle yet deliciously clean scents!
Beach or Cruise Travel Essentials
As an avid scuba diver, I have a lot of accessories to pack; and often use a dive bag to haul my equipment!
Cruises and beach vacations are some of the most in-demand articles on the TFG site! These beach and cruise travel accessories will add so much fun and comfort to your trip — and while some of them can be rented at your destination, many travelers opt to bring their own for economic or hygienic reasons.
Sea-Band Wristband Natural Nausea Relief
Seasick Bands to Help Nausea
If a cruise ship or boat is in your travel future and you’re worried about seasickness ruining all the fun, sea bands are here to the rescue! Working by placing pressure on an acupressure point on your wrist, they’ll relieve nausea and reduce your symptoms of motion sickness.
It’s always best to be prepared, and these are some of the best travel accessories for cruise ships. With these in your toiletry kit, you or your travel companions will have some much-needed relief if you’re ever hit with rough seas.
(These are some of the best car travel accessories, too, as they also work for car sickness!)
Shop Sea-Band Wristband on Walmart or Amazon.
Cressi F1 Scuba Snorkeling Mask
Snorkeling Mask to Protect Eyes
Whether snorkeling, scuba diving, or just splashing around in the waves, having your own snorkeling mask is worth it. You’ll be able to get the perfect fit for your face, plus it’ll keep things sanitary, and you’ll save money long-term, not to mention the amazing views you’ll get to witness underwater! Investing in a mask means choosing whatever fun color you want, too!
A reader shares, “We take our snorkels and masks when we travel backpacks-only often. We pack small soft items (like socks) in our masks and wrap sarongs or travel towels around them.”
Cressi Adult Short Light Swim Fins
Snorkel Fins for Water Fun
For your underwater adventures, a well-fitting pair of fins makes a fun (and functional) addition to your packing list! You’ll want to choose the style depending on the activity, whether snorkeling, scuba diving, free diving, or swimming, as they’re all built slightly differently, with different lengths and designs.
And many readers confirm that these sporty women travel accessories can be strategically packed in a carry-on suitcase!
Body Glove Long Sleeve Rashguard | Sizes XS-XL
Rash Guard for Swimming or Snorkeling
If you’re spending hours in the water, you may want to pack a rash guard or two so that your skin doesn’t get irritated, scraped, rubbed raw, or sunburned. While originally made for surfing and other water sports, you don’t have to be partaking in any particularly intense activities to reap the benefits of a rash guard – they’re travel must haves for women who simply love being in the water!
They’ll keep you comfy and protected from the elements and the sun, and they won’t make you feel hot. And many brands offer some very cute and feminine designs!
Cressi Short Front Zip Wetsuit | Sizes XS-2XL
Wetsuit for Water Sports
If you plan on active water sports, step it up a notch with a wetsuit. While they can be a bit bulky, readers have recommended bringing your own wetsuit for the benefits of having the perfect fit and style that you want, saving money on rentals, and knowing that you’re the wetsuit’s sole wearer!
Sun Hat for Heat Protection
Sun and heat protection is always a top priority, and it’s best to make sure you’re getting it in more ways than just sunscreen! Luckily, stylish travel accessories can do double duty. A cute sun hat is the perfect way to protect your skin from the sun’s rays but also add a chic element to your outfits!
Bonus points if your hat has UPF protection, is adjustable, is easy to pack in your luggage and stash in your day bag without losing shape, and keeps your head feeling nice and cool.
Face Shadow Double Eyeglasses Pouch
Sunglass and Eyeglass Case
Beach days and stylish sunnies go hand in hand! But that means you’ll need to add a glasses case to your travel accessories list, so you can store them when you jump in the water or when the sun goes down!
Ensure your glasses case is lightweight, padded for protection, and lined with a soft fabric to prevent scratches. And if you’re an eyeglass-wearer, you may want to opt for a two-in-one case that has slots for both your eyeglasses and sunglasses.
Ray-Ban Polarized Aviator Sunglasses
And while we’re on the topic of sunglasses, polarized sunglasses are a strongly recommended travel accessory for keeping your eyes safe on a sunny day, especially if there’s extra glare from the water! Your eyes will thank you for the added protection!
Rio Gear Ultimate Backpack Chair
Portable Beach Chair for Local Vacations
Portable beach chairs will add so much comfort and relaxation to your beach days! While you won’t want to lug them around on a flight, they’re excellent to bring along on a road trip along the coast or any other local getaways.
Sitting on the sand all day can get a bit uncomfortable, so these travel-friendly beach chairs will give you some much-needed support, and some versions even offer handy features like cup holders and tents! They’re really good travel accessories for the frequent beach-goer.
What Vacation Travel Essentials Are Not Necessary?
For my European summer trip in 2022, I had to keep all my packing, including accessories, in fairly small spaces. I used the Osprey Transporter 38L Wheeled Suitcase, and for my personal item, I used the Osprey Transporter 44L Backpack as a diaper bag for the flight.
While there are tons of awesome travel essentials that are definitely working packing, there are also some trendy travel accessories that some may recommend but that aren’t really necessary or that can easily be replaced with something else.
For example, if you’re heading to a rainy destination and are considering a travel umbrella, you can save space and money by bringing a high-quality raincoat with a great hood.
Some travelers might also feel the need to bring a travel safe for their valuables, though it’s best to leave most of your valuables at home. (Some travelers even leave their wedding bands at home and opt for a travel version!) Instead, opt for a suitcase with lockable zippers — which is such a worthwhile investment in general — and anything of value can be locked away in there while you’re out exploring.
Readers recommend leaving vital jewelry at home, and Enso Classic Legend Ring is a great wedding ring substitute!
When it comes to electronics, it often feels like we need to bring so many travel gadgets and accessories (and all of their corresponding chargers), but try to keep to the bare minimum. If you want something to watch movies, read books, send emails, write things down, etc., try to bring just one device that can accomplish all of these things, like a laptop or an iPad.
And while there’s nothing like a physical book or writing by hand in a journal, you might want to consider keeping it all digital (just for the trip) to save space and weight in your luggage.
Overall, try to keep things as light as possible, and don’t pack things because of a “what if”!

I’ve added several must-have items to my travel packing list since following this site. Now, I won’t travel without the mini handheld fan, the carbon monoxide detector, and the packing cubes. I’ve Apple air-tagged everything (even my dogs have air tags on their collars)! Thanks for continuing to help us be our best and most comfortable selves as we travel!
After reading these set of articles i was surprised how many of these recommendations I have purchased from reading your facebook pages! I have all of the Rose compass items too! Great ideas always from this site. Thank you for your continued diligence in keeping the ideas and recommendations coming. You are my go to site when I need help planning and getting ready for a trip! It has inspired me to try COO on my next girls trip in the fall!
Awesome list! I’ve bought lots of the items as a result of following TFG for years:-) I love traveling with a valet tray with snaps. It lays flat in your bag and it snaps into a great little tray. It also makes a for a unique gift.
I am so incredibly thankful that I have found this community! I travel for work mostly and all of the information I get through the blog posts have made traveling so much more easy and organized! Not sure which I love more… .the information or the kind and positive people that post here!
I recently discovered ‘Soak’ laundry liquid (soakwash.com). You only need a teaspoon in a basin of water and no rinsing required! I use it for my delicates at home and recently used it on holiday too. Awesome!
Thanks for sharing your find with us Jude!
Love all your valuable travel tips ! This is my “go to ” list anytime I am getting ready for a trip!!!
Your list is terrific! I’ve been using Apple AirTags since they came out and they are a game-changer! I highly recommend. I travel on an airline that does a good job of tracking checked bags but this gives me additional comfort for those very few times I have had to check. They are also great for keeping track of keys and anything else you find that you are constantly searching for. I even have one on my dog!
The mini fan was a fantastic find. It’s small enough to travel with, even on a daily basis, and has been great when the temps get warm. I sleep hot and having this fan sitting up up next to me has been great when needed!
I’ve loved this list and have so many of these items! He Bagsmart toiletries bag has become one of my favorite gifts for girlfriends!
Thank you for this list! I just returned from 2 weeks in Iceland and while I learned a lot from reading many of your recommendations, this list will be helpful for future travel!
So many great suggestions in this article. I have purchased many of them and love them. I also purchase the Shout wipes and carry them in my crossbody for any type of spills. Thank you for all your useful articles.
I recently discovered ‘Soak’ laundry liquid (soakwash.com). You only need a teaspoon in a basin of water and no rinsing required! I use it for my delicates at home and recently used it on holiday too. Awesome!
I agree the portable power pack is a lifesaver when you’ve taken SO MANY PHOTOS on your phone! I also used it on a long flight when my charger kept falling out of the airplane’s receptacle.
As always you provide helpful on point recommendations.
We were the family traveling with eleven bags. …clothing, car seats, strollers, miscellaneous gear for every possible circumstance. This site has transformed my life. We went on a trip last week and I am proud to say we are down to two roll-aboards and two backpacks! The most helpful advice was being taught about capsule wardrobes and downsizing toiletries/makeup kits, and washing laundry as we go. I could not understand the hype about packing cubes but now I’m a huge fan like everyone else. Alex reminded me there are really only a handful of outfits in my closet that I truly love wearing because they are soft, stylish, flattering–I should pack those! Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You have changed my life for the better.
Amazing list! I recently purchased a Bandolier for a trip to Europe. It’s comfortable, cute, and keeps my phone accessible. Should be perfect for what I need. Thank you!
This has been so helpful. I did my first COO 28-day trip. It was so nice to not have a heavy suitcase to carry around Europe!
Looking forward to a 30 day vacation in Europe starting next week. I have purchased many of the item suggested on this site. I could never have imagined doing COO but I’m doing it for this trip!
This site is so incredibly helpful! Starting next week I am doing COO and visiting 5 countries in Europe for 30 days. We will begin in Hungary and end in Greece. I could never have done this without all of the suggestions from this group, packing clothes for cooler weather and warmer weather. Thank you TFG!!
I have so many of these recommended products and I have not been disappointed in any of them! The Compass Rose packing cubes turned out to be way more handy than I was expecting, and I have SEVERAL packing cube sets, ha! Thanks for including other products that I don’t own yet but that I’m looking at now!
So many great recommendations! Thank you for sharing.
So many great tips, thank you! The mini fan is one of my must pack items! I just ordered the loop earplugs and the kitsch containers on your recommendation. Excited to take them on my next trip!
As someone who LOVES gadgets and accessories I really appreciate all the details and pros & cons you offer. Thanks for putting in the time to get SO MUCH info out to everyone!!
I definitely give a hearty recommendation to the bombas no show socks. They are the best out there. I also definitely added a couple more items to my travel supplies list! Thanks!
Brilliant! I loved my AirTags and trtl pillow on my European trip this past winter. I’m strongly tempted to splurge on the bandolier phone case for my next trip!
I am ordering them all!!
I’ve used so many of these recommended travel items, and I’ve referred back to this post for even more ideas! I can’t think of a more comprehensive list! I love that travel teapot!
We’ve started using detergent sheets at home to wash clothes. I know they will travel well too!
What a comprehensive list. I may have to check out that ScottEvest trench.
This is a great article. Im researching for my next trip to Europe and its the first time focusing on being a minimalist. Im sad I haven’t found anywhere the Rose Compass packing cubes. When they will be available?
This is such a great list! I already pack several items you recommend but was glad to discover the jewelry organizer. I’ve been searching….
I have used so many products for local, domestic and international travel from this site.
I tell everyone to check your page for anything they might think is needed for traveling.
So helpful! The tea kettle and compass rose packing have been game-changing for me!
I learned so much on your site and FB group for my trip to Ireland earlier this year. I had never thought of decanting my toiletries into lip balm containers. I was able to really pare down my toiletries and save space!
Some great tip/products mentioned here. Have bought quite a few of these from learning of them on here.
Great list! Some things I would have never thought of that’s for sure! Thank you!
I don’t travel international, but all your travel tips have helped me do COO for my cross-country trips. And I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my Compass Rose Packing Cubes. They fit all my clothing and keep my suitcase totally organized. I use a spray bottle (top only) and fit it onto a disposable water bottle to spritz and dewrinkle my clothes at final destination. I appreciate all my fellow travelers’ insights!
I just added the Dual Voltage Hair Dryer Brush to my travel wish list! Does it take up too much room for COO? After doing 3 weeks in Spain COO, I’m determined to never check a bag again!
This list has been so helpful as I plan my first international trip. It’s so great to be able to find so much information that has been tried & used by other like minded travelers!!
Fantastic list! I have bought several of the items recommended a few years ago and they have been so helpful for our travels. My favorites are the Compass Rose Packing Cubes and Compas Rose Adapter. A new favorite is my mini travel fan that takes up minimal space on a hotel nightstand. Many thanks!
I’d also recommend a Tide stick and not just the detergent to get stains quickly and help clothes last longer between washing
This is an incredible list, thank you! I’ve just discovered a love for snorkeling and would love your recommendations on bikinis and rash guard brands you favour. I’d also like your take on clothes that make beach changes easy (and not a peep show).
