If you are traveling for an extended period of time, then consider traveling with a small bottle of LeBlanc Lingerie Wash. Just two tiny capfuls of a soak wash like LeBlanc will keep your bras fresh and looking like new.

You have several options for doing laundry while traveling!
The Strapper Original Bra Clips and Strap insert
Bra Strap Holder

How to Choose a Bra for Travel
It all starts with packing the right bras!
It is so important that you get a professional fitting to determine the best bra for your unique shape and to make sure you are wearing the correct size.
Some key factors that you need to consider when choosing your next bra is comfort, style, and fit. Finding a bra style that keeps your bust supported without any unwanted lines or wires showing through can be difficult.
When I started TFG and contemplated my perfect capsule wardrobe I wondered why some clothing items just didn’t work. Also, I was uncomfortable walking, the dreaded bounce was really bad, and it painful and embarrassing. I realized that the fit of my bra was way off.
I’d always heard about the importance of getting a bra fitting but never actually had one. I was amazed by the results; for me, they were life-changing. I walked out of my bra fitting feeling like a new woman. Not only did my clothing fit better, but I felt 100 times more comfortable in my own skin.
Another reader shares how “when I started getting discomfort with my underwire bra, I went and got remeasured, and everything made more sense, and the new bra in the right size felt so good!”
Everyone’s body shape is completely unique, and women just don’t fit into a mold of just two or three options. Unless you get fitted for a bra, you might never know whether you actually need a smaller band or larger cup size or vice versa.
Remember, wearing the right size in undergarments is just as important as your clothing.
Why Choose a Wireless Bra for Travel?
Many of our readers say they prefer their bras without underwire — no more wires poking into you. Wireless bras can offer support, and if you choose the right bra, then it can feel like wearing a soft supportive cushion
They offer a much more comfy option to underwire bras, particularly when traveling to your destination, as there is nothing worse than being on a long flight with the wire from your bra digging in.
One reader says, “I LOVE to travel with a wire-free bra! So much more comfier for a flight!” Another reader adds, “I went wireless a couple of years ago, and it’s been the greatest decision I’ve ever made.”
For travel, wireless bras are a fantastic option as they take up less space in your suitcase, and you do not need to be worried about trying to protect the cups when packing them. There are, also, no annoying clips to catch on the rest of your clothing in your luggage.
Read these tips on how to pack bras when traveling!
What Color Bra Should I Choose?
The color is up to you, but if you’re a light traveler or like multi-use items, choose colors and styles that work best with the clothes you have chosen to pack.
Neutral colors or a shade that is closest to your skin tone is the most versatile color. Neutral bras disappear under almost every color and fabric and are much more versatile than black.
Try and avoid prints and bright colors unless they don’t conflict with your clothing fabrics. Also remember that some lace, wired, or textured fabrics might show through some of your tops and dresses.
Always test out your undergarments with your travel outfits prior to your trip!
The Bra Packing Rule of Thumb
Figuring out how many bras to pack can be very confusing, especially when you are on a long vacation. Generally speaking, you want to pack the most versatile bras possible, and always choose what makes sense for the activities you have planned.
As with shoes, three is the magic number.
If you don’t have any plans that are especially athletic, such as hiking, then consider packing a T-shirt bra and a convertible bra. If you have outdoor or strenuous activities on your agenda, then you should definitely pack at least one sports bra.
Watch this video to learn how to pack light for carry-on only!
Remember, if you are traveling for a longer time, you can do laundry while on your vacation, so you won’t need to pack more bras just because you will be away for longer.
Washing Your Bra
Once you find the perfect bra, make sure you look after them! It’s best to hand wash them. Always air dry and never put your bras in the dryer. Hand washing your bras with a gentle soap or baby detergent and cool water is the best way to prolong their use.
If you must put your bras in the washing machine, make sure it’s encased in a protective garment bag.
How often you wash your bra depends on your personal lifestyle and daily levels of activities, but you should try to wash them after three to four wears.
