Stay Healthy While Traveling
Written By: Niki Landry
Taking better care of one’s mind and body is frequently at the top of resolution lists every year. Living a healthy lifestyle can often lead to a happier one, and these practices shouldn’t be totally forgotten during a trip or vacation.
You should definitely indulge during your travels, but it’s also important to keep yourself feeling great to make the most of your trip. Below are a few products that may make your travels a little easier and happier!
Uma Wellness Oil Kit | Essential Rollers Kit
Essential Oils
There’s an essential oil movement at the moment, and even if you aren’t completely familiar with it, there are benefits to adding one or two to your life and travels.
You can find ready-made oil blends to help with just about any ailment, or get into the game by doing some research and blending your own. Buy a set of empty roller bottles and make a special set of oils for your travels.
Some great blends to bring on the road are those that aid sleep and relaxation or boost immunity.

YOGO Mat Ultralight | Grip Half Toe Bellarina
Workout Gear
Keeping up with any workout routine when I travel has always been difficult, but that doesn’t mean I’ll stop trying to do it! It’s usually not an issue if I’ll be gone for a week, but for anything longer, it’s important to stay active.
I know other travelers deal with some of these same issues. Sometimes it’s easy to find classes or a gym at your destination, and they can be a fun way to meet locals.
Other times, you need to figure out your own methods for exercising. Since yoga is one of my favorite ways to relax and stay fit, I’m always looking for ways to make it easier to practice in my hotel room or lodging.
A lightweight mat is always an option, but I prefer something more compact like non-slip socks and/or gloves.

Sleep Aid Oral Spray | Melatonin Time Release
Jet Lag Aid
There is no way to avoid jet lag altogether, but you can reduce the symptoms. I’m terrible at staying up the first day after a transatlantic flight; when I’m tired I sleep, but that leaves me restless until my body adjusts.
I’ve never used a sleep aid, but I’ve been researching mild options for future trips including Melatonin, which is popular with global jetsetters. In an effort to reset your natural sleep patterns to your destination’s time zone, you may choose to use a little assistance as well.
Always speak to your doctor before taking any new medication or supplement.
Emergen-C Vitamin C | Airborne Supplement
Immune Support
I used to get sick during every trip, but now I’m able to keep it under control by using these supplements, eating healthier, and making an continued effort to stay germ-free.
I’ve been using immunity boosting supplements for years to stay feeling great while traveling. I usually start a few days prior to my flight and bring a few doses with me.
Getting an extra dose of Vitamin C is especially helpful when taking long-haul flights when catching a cold or flu is common.

Natural Stress Relief Pastilles | Anxiety Relief and Stress Supplement
Stress Management
As much as we like the idea of going on a relaxing vacation, the truth is that travel can be stressful. Just thinking about heading to the airport can get me worrying.
Planning and forethought is a great way to manage the stress that comes with hitting the road, but there are natural methods that can assist as well.
I haven’t tried them yet, but I plan on getting a tin of these pastilles to keep in my bag on my next trip. These aren’t a cure for all of your worries, but a subtle and easy way to transition you into your stress-free vacay.

I always make sure I bring some type of immune support with me when I travel, it makes such a massive difference. Especially when my trip involves a long haul flight.
Great advice! I always do this!
I use Emergen-C on every flight and in the first 24 hours of landing for preventative measures. I’m always worried about getting enough fruits and veggies so I always look for veggie juices/smoothiess, whether fresh pressed or bottled in a grocery store or juice bar. If I get one of those in me a day, I don’t feel as guilty when I have a glass of wine…or two!
Totally agree! Love Emergen-C! Thanks for sharing Tanya!
