Are you planning a romantic escape? Saint Lucia is the ultimate honeymoon destination! Most of the hotels on this small island are all-inclusive resorts. Whether you’re on your honeymoon or annual vacation, here are some tips on what to wear in St Lucia!
What to Wear in St Lucia
Saint Lucia is a wonderful island in the Caribbean. Although it’s a popular honeymoon destination, there’s no reason to limit the island to honeymooners – it’s great for any couple that’s looking for a romantic escape.
Because you’re more likely to stay at a resort than at a hotel in the city, it’s important to bring clothing and accessories that work well for both the pool and any excursions you go on. Here are a few tips to make sure you’re trip ready when you visit.
Rompers make a great alternative to dresses and are one of our favorite styles for island and beach vacations. They can be dressed down as a swimsuit cover-up, worn casually for sightseeing, and dressed up at night.
They’re a one-piece instant outfit, weather friendly, and versatile – definitely a great option to consider when planning what to wear in St Lucia.
➋ Maxi dress
The weather is warm on the island so why not take advantage and get some resort wear style. When you’re planning what to wear in St Lucia, think airy dresses and beautiful ocean-inspired hues like the ones shown in this summer capsule wardrobe.
A maxi dress in a climate like Saint Lucia screams relaxing vacation. Pack one to look fashionable and fuss-free. The beauty of a maxi dress is its versatility – add or subtract accessories to change the entire outfit – a simple way to take your look from the beach to the resort restaurant.
➌ Denim jacket
A lightweight but versatile jacket is the perfect layer for your week in paradise. It goes great with both the maxi dress and the romper. I like having one for those cooler evenings when you need something thicker than a cardigan but not as heavy as a coat.

➍ Beach pants
These trousers scream tropical vacation. Neutral linen pants are easy to pair with a variety of colorful tops. Find a comfortable pair that you can wear with your favorite clothes and you’ll be ready for paradise!
This brand is a must for stylish and functional tropical clothing!
➎ Reversible tote
If you don’t want to carry the same bag all week but you need something that holds your poolside necessities, pack a reversible tote! Its double the bag that takes up half the packing space.
This one comes with a small wristlet that you can grab for dinner when you don’t want to bring a whole tote. As a bonus, use it as your personal item on the plane, too!
If you plan on hiking either Gros Piton or Petit Piton, make sure to bring some good workout wear. The hike is steep, through rocks, but doesn’t require you to bring traditional hiking gear if you go with a guide. A pair of leggings you can use both for a dinner out and a hike are versatile and necessary Saint Lucia.

➐ Flip flops
Don’t forget some practical but stylish sandals when you plan what to wear in St Lucia. These Ipanema flip flops are a compromise between stylish and functional.
They’re super comfortable – I discovered them accidentally on a trip to Brazil. Two years later, I bringthem with me no matter where I travel – they still look as good as the day I bought them.

➑ Sun hat
A wide-brimmed hat is a must when you’re moving from cold temperatures to warmer climates. Bring one that complements your carefree wardrobe but isn’t too difficult to pack so that you ditch it while you’re on the island.
